In what is becoming a familiar theme, Tanner hung tough with an opponent for one half before watching them pull away in the second half for a comfortable win.

Friday night, it was Red Bay doing the honors, as the Tigers turned a 20-12 halftime lead into a 50-24 victory.

Tanner got on the board first with a Malik Atkins 10-yard touchdown pass to J.J. Jones, but Red Bay answered with two consecutive scores with a 3-yard touchdown run by Kobie Bragwell and a 5-yard touchdown run by Colbie King to go up 14-6.

Tanner would fight back, as Atkins tossed another touchdown pass to Jones, this one a 27-yarder, to cut the deficit to 14-12 late in the second quarter. But Red Bay would get a crucial touchdown just before halftime, as King rushed for a 3-yard score to put the Tigers up 20-12 at the intermission.

Red Bay put the game away in the third quarter, as King would take over, scoring on runs of 32 and 17 yards to put the Tigers up 34-12.
