A Limestone County family is without a home after a fire destroyed their mobile home at 15586 Shaw Road Wednesday morning.
Pleasant Grove Volunteer Fire Department Chief Jason Brackeen said a mother and several children were displaced when a fire started just after midnight at a mobile home park located near the Coxey and Ripley communities.
“They lost everything,” Brackeen said.
Brackeen’s department was called to back up Clements and Owens volunteer fire departments, who also worked the scene.
Clements Volunteer Fire Department was called back to the scene around 3 a.m., after the fire rekindled, according to Brackeen.
Bob Rolf said the American Red Cross was on the scene overnight assisting the family of six, which included a mother, four children and an uncle.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
