Alabama lead singer Randy Owen is a graduate of Jacksonville State and serves as a university trustee.

The university website says concert performers include Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit; The Charlie Daniels Band; Jamey Johnson; and Shenandoah.

A powerful tornado severely damaged about two dozen buildings when it hit the university in March. Students are living in alternative housing this fall including mobile homes.

Concert proceeds will go to the university’s disaster relief fund.
