Deputies found two women dead and a third stabbing herself inside a home in the 10000 block of West Schoolhouse Road, Lester, Wednesday morning.

A 15-year-old female found stabbing herself in a Lester residence Wednesday morning has been charged with the murders of her mother and sister, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office announced today.

Someone inside the residence placed a 911 call to authorities around 1 a.m. Wednesday. Limestone County Sheriff Mike Blakely called it “one of the worst” calls he’s heard in his 47 years in law enforcement.

Blakely said two individuals could be heard screaming, asking for help and asking their assailant to stop. When deputies arrived, 19-year-old Rosa Lee Maldonado and 44-year-old Rosa Aminta Maldonado were dead of stab wounds inside the mobile home in the 10000 block of West Schoolhouse Road in Lester.

The 15-year-old was stabbing herself in the head and neck when deputies entered the home. She was taken to Huntsville Hospital for treatment and released today.

She is charged with two counts of capital murder. Due to her juvenile status, the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office is releasing no additional information at this time.
