Audience members stand for the Pledge of Allegiance at Monday’s Constitution Day Celebration in McCandless Hall in Athens. The celebration was hosted by Athens State University and the John Wade Keyes chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The event is held each year in remembrance of the signing of the U.S. Constitution, which was finalized Sept. 17, 1787.
