Police: Shooting at Blossomwood Elementary a case of ‘show and tell’

A child was transported by ambulance from Blossomwood Elementary School to Huntsville Hospital this morning after sustaining a gunshot wound to the hand, according to WAFF-48.

Huntsville Police Chief Mark McMurray told reporters this was a case of “show and tell” and explained that the shooting was accidental.

McMurray asked parents to “lock guns down” after the incident.
