The city of Athens on Thursday issued a reminder about downtown events that could impact traffic today.

The annual Athens High School pep rally on The Square is 3 p.m. on Marion Street. The street will be closed between Washington and Market streets. Motorists should expect increased pedestrian traffic.

The last Art After Hours of the season is 6-9 p.m. at High Cotton Arts with music, art, food and activities for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. Washington Street between Marion Street and the railroad tracks will be closed.
