A person who was ejected from a one-vehicle rollover crash on U.S. 31 near Moyers Road has been taken to a local hospital by MedFlight.

According to dispatch reports, the crash victim sustained head and chest injuries. The victim’s identity was not immediately available.

North and Southbound lanes of U.S. 31 were closed while first-responders tended to the victim. A press release from Athens police said efforts are made to reopen both lanes U.S. 31 as soon as possible.
