BREAKING: Broken glass reported along South Jefferson Street in Athens

A truck carrying glass has apparently lost part of its load on South Jefferson Street. According to dispatch reports, there is a large amount of broken glass from the Mapco station down to near the intersection of U.S. 72.

The Athens Street Department has been called to the scene. Drivers should drive carefully or avoid the area if possible.
