Madalyn Newby, 8, and her brother, Jerry Allen Newby III, 6, of the Sardis Springs community enjoy a sweet retreat from the heat Wednesday at the Sno Biz on the corner of U.S. 31 and Forrest Street near Athens Bible School. The siblings were treated by Dianne Newby, affectionately known as DeDe. Proceeds at the Sno Biz in Athens help fund the sports program at Athens Bible School.
