Eighteen people were killed over a 10-day travel period that included the Fourth of July holiday, state troopers said Monday.

Troopers said six drivers, three passengers, three pedestrians, five motorcyclists and a motorcycle passenger were killed between June 29 and went through Sunday, July 8. Across all cases, five seat belts were used and four were not. In nine cases, seat belts were not applicable because motorcyclists and pedestrians were killed.

The only day with no fatalities was Sunday, July 8.
