- Megan Dillard held a watch party for her appearance on "American Ninja Warrior" Wednesday at her Hartselle home.
She’s a math teacher by day, but in her off time she trains…ninja warrior style. And her hard work got her into a national competition.
Megan Dillard, who teaches sixth grade at Athens Intermediate School, was on NBC’s “American Ninja Warrior” Wednesday night. She earned the spot out of hundreds of competitors.
However, Dillard fell during the course, injuring her arm and eliminating her from competition.
At a watch party at her home in Hartselle Wednesday night, Dillard’s arm was still in a sling. She was in good spirits, though, and had a house full of spectators.
Dillard trained hard for the competition, and she wasn’t alone. Besides her husband, she had her three-legged dog, Zeus, by her side. Zeus trained alongside her at the gym and running the trails.
Her training was done at the Ninja Obstacle Academy in Huntsville.
WAFF 48 News wishes Dillard and Zeus luck in future competition.
