Two honored for community service

Grace Senior Social Ministry recently honored the Rev. Thomas Sanderfer Jr. of Little Elk Missionary Baptist Church, left, and Shirley Yarbrough of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church, center, for their contributions to the community. The two local citizens were honored with plaques, gifts and words of praise during a banquet May 11 at Grace Missionary Baptist Church in Athens, where the Rev. Willie Byrd serves as pastor.
