A new medical clinic representing a joint venture by four local physicians recently held an open house to the public.

North Alabama Specialists hosted the event on April 20. The office is at 15232 Greenfield Drive, Athens.

The clinic features Dr. Keith Hill and Dr. Sam Frankel of Valley ENT, Dr. Steve Mallette of Mallette Dermatology, and Dr. Gregg Moody of North Alabama Eye Care.

“The building, which houses three suites that each contain at least four exam rooms, will also hold some of the newest and most innovative healthcare technologies,” said a press release about the office. “Through the new facility, all three doctor’s offices will be able to streamline patient wait times and the expand the services they previously offered, including minimally invasive surgeries in large procedure rooms.”

North Alabama Eye Care now has a highly-specific tear analyzer aiding in the diagnosis of dry eye disease, and Valley ENT can now offer procedures such as sinuplasty, medical aesthetics and facial plastic surgery.

“Dr. Frankel and I are excited for the new opportunities Valley ENT can offer the Athens community through our new space,” Hill said. “And it is an honor to share this building with the professionals of Mallette Dermatology and North Alabama Eye Care.”

The 16,150 square-foot facility was built by local construction firm Martin & Cobey. Construction began in January 2017 and was completed in November. William M. Boehme & Associates were the architects on the project.
