A Killen woman died Monday after a two-car crash on County Road 71, troopers said.

The crash occurred at 7:45 a.m. when a 2017 Volkswagen Passat driven by Patsy Cummings Mager, 66, was struck by another vehicle. The crash occurred 5 miles north of Killen.

Magen was taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, where she underwent surgery but later died from her injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
