But in the second half, West Limestone’s Jose Roman scored two goals within five minutes of each other to level the score. The first was a shot from a tight angle from the left side of the goal, and the second goal was from a penalty kick after he was fouled in the penalty area.

Chandler put Athens Bible back on top with 16 minutes remaining in the game with a goal from a free kick near the sideline, but West Limestone would once again answer to tie the score.

With 12 minutes remaining in the game, Roman took a shot that was saved by ABS goalkeeper Daniel Eison, but the rebound came out in front of the goal and Taylor Toone was there to slam the ball in the net.

West Limestone’s record now sits at 2-0-1 while Athens Bible is 0-1-1.

The Wildcats’ next game is Tuesday at East Limestone while the Trojans will host Tanner on Saturday.
