County arrests

Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Jessi Ashlin Ish, 25, of 24981 Cottonbelt Road, Elkmont, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of a concealed weapon on person/vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Joseph Dale Slaton, 37, of 14667 Section Line Road, Elkmont, distribution of a controlled substance, two counts possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon: carrying an illegal gun, and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Logan Bryant Thornton, 19, of 1220 Liberty Hill Road, Minor Hill, Tennessee, third-degree burglary and first-degree criminal mischief

• Pamela Graves Thornton, 56, of 18078 East Limestone Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal mischief

• Terry Dewayne Worthey, 36, of 20375 New Garden Road, Elkmont, possession of a concealed weapon and paraphernalia-sell: misdemeanor (first offense)

County thefts

Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Wednesday and Thursday:

• LESTER — Unauthorized use of green 1998 Toyota of unknown value Feb. 6, 25000 block Hunter Gates Road

• ATHENS — U.S. currency valued at $14,400 stolen from Lowe’s between April 1, 2016, and Oct. 18, 2017, 1109 U.S. 72

• ELKMONT — Unauthorized use of 2002 Nissan Altima valued at $2,000 Feb. 7, 17000 block Coffman Road

• ATHENS — Medication of unknown value stolen between Feb. 1 and 6, 14000 block Williams Road

• ATHENS — Bounce house valued at $550 stolen between Jan. 5 and Feb. 6, 24000 block Nick Davis Road

• ATHENS — PlayStation 4 valued at $150, 12 video games valued at $300, two controllers valued at $70, game cords valued at $50 and Kicker subwoofer valued at $40 stolen Feb. 4, 22000 block Elkton Road

• ATHENS — Makita skill saw valued at $135 stolen between Jan. 16 and Feb. 6, 8000 block Blue Springs Drive

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Jessica Catherine Davis, 35, of 510 1/2 Hoffman St., Athens, arrest for another agency

• Kenneth Wayne Edwards, 29, of 106 Lev Drive, Hazel Green, third-degree possession of a forged instrument

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• Ruger .380-caliber automatic pistol valued at $300 stolen during burglary Jan. 23, 2100 block South Lindsay Lane

• Brown purse containing expired driver’s license, Medicare card, medical paperwork, Social Security card and Regions Bank check, total $25, stolen during vehicle break-in Feb. 5 or 6, 1000 block U.S. 72 East

• Bottle of Jose Cuervo tequila valued at $16 stolen Feb. 7, 600 block U.S. 31

• Purse containing wallet, makeup, debit card and $400 in cash, total $550, stolen Feb. 7, 900 block Fifth Avenue
