• After-school program. The after-school program from 3-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at David’s Temple Church in Tanner accepts children ages 5-18. Homework assistants, tutoring and study hall are available. Van pickup is available to all Athens City Schools except Athens High. Children from Tanner High can ride the bus. • Winter revival. Salem Springs Baptist Church will hold its winter revival with evangelist Roger Haney at the following times: 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4; and 6:30 p.m. nightly Monday, Feb. 5, through Friday, Feb. 9. Child care available for birth through third grade.
• Black History Month celebration. Trinity High School Class of 1966 will host its 32nd annual Black History Month celebration at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Village View United Methodist Church in Athens. Pastor Galon Darby of Rockford, Illinois, will speak. New Life Church Choir will serve as the guest choir. More information: 256-233-2264.
