Clements boys get win over Elkmont

Austin Harvell and Kaleb Fletcher both had double-doubles for Clements to lead the Colts to a 44-40 victory over Elkmont on Friday night.
Harvell continued his fine play this year, scoring 14 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while Fletcher scored a game-high 18 points and had 10 boards in the win.
Elkmont girls 51, Clements 49
Elkmont overcame a nine-point deficit in the final quarter to take a thrilling 2-point victory over Clements on Friday night.
The Red Devils trailed 40-31 after three quarters but outscored the Colts 20-9 in the final quarter to grab the victory.
Harven Kirby scored 24 points for Elkmont to lead the comeback, while Bailey Vining added 10 points.
Clements was led by Emrey McGill with 19 points and Abby Craig with eight.
West Limestone boys 51, Danville 31
West Limestone improved to 9-2 on the season with a dominating victory over Danville on Friday.
Cameron Williams scored 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds to lead the Wildcats.
Jayden Legg was Danville’s leading scorer with eight points.
Saturday’s Games
East Limestone girls 57, Tanner 31
Jirah Rogers doesn’t seem to be slowing her scoring down anytime soon, as her dominating play once again helped lead East Limestone to a big victory.
One game after scoring 27 points to help the Indians defeat Lawrence County, Rogers scored 26 as East beat Tanner.
But it wasn’t just Rogers’ scoring that keyed the victory. The Indians’ tenacious defense also played a huge role, as Tanner was held to just seven points in the first half.
Hailie Smith also had a big game for East Limestone, scoring 16 points with 14 of those coming in the second half. The Indians improved to 10-3 on the season.
Kennedy Lewter led Tanner with 14 points.
Clements boys 61, Wilson 46
Clements completed a two-games-in-two-days sweep by beating Wilson on Saturday.
Austin Harvell scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead the Colts, while Kaleb Fletcher added 16 points and eight rebounds.
Shane Starnes had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Colts.
Clements girls 65, Wilson 46
Clements recovered from a difficult loss Friday night to post a big win over Wilson on Saturday.
The Colts led by just three points at halftime but outscored Wilson 22-5 in the third quarter to pull away.
Jayna Sickler led Clements with 15 points, while Lily Miller scored 12 and Abby Craig added 11.
Wilson’s Sidney Bevis led all scorers with 24 points.
