Investigators had conducted surveillance at the Country Hearth motel on Dec. 1 before serving a search warrant, said Deputy Stephen Young, public information officer for the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office. Tips about drug and forgery activity prompted the investigation, he said.
Investigators stopped Kyle’s and Robinson’s Ford Expedition on U.S. 72 West and searched it, seizing five Xanax bars, syringes, a handgun, computer, printer and multiple forged checks, Young said. Inside their motel room, investigators found second computer and printer used as forgery devices; multiple sheets of paper used to print counterfeit money; sheets containing multiple identities; forged checks; paperwork to multiple prepaid debit cards; account numbers for multiple individuals; a forged ID; other counterfeiting items; and drug paraphernalia.
While Kyle was being booked into the Limestone County Jail, a jailer found several counterfeit $100 and $50 bills, Young said.
Both Kyle and Robinson remained jailed Wednesday.
