Limestone County authorities are looking for a man who stole cash and a telephone from a woman in distress Tuesday on Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road.

About noon, the Sheriff’s Office took a call from a woman who said her car broke down on Huntsville-Browns Ferry Road. She said a man drove up in a champagne sedan, presumably to offer assistance, but stole her cash and telephone instead.

According to the woman, the suspect’s vehicle has a right-front hubcap missing and a left-front hubcap cracked or damaged.

The woman described the man as an African-American in his early 20s.

Limestone authorities have asked other law enforcement agencies to be on the lookout for the champagne-colored sedan with hubcap issues.
