Editor’s note: The following tips on how to cook a turkey came from students in Stacy Morrell’s pre-K class at Piney Chapel Elementary School. Follow them at your own risk.
• “You put it in the microwave first. Then, you gotta put it in a pan and put it in the oven.” — Alex Gulley Jr.
• “You have to cut it sideways, and then you cut it forward and all the way around. Then, you put it in the oven. Then, you have to slide it on a plate from a tray.” — Kaleah Brown
• “You have to buy it, then you go home. Then, you do everything Mama says. You put it in the oven, then let it cool off. Then, you snack on it.” — Kaylee Gott
• “First, you gotta put it in the oven. Then, you take the feathers off. Then, you eat it.” — Nolan Terry
