Gov. Ivey to be in Tanner tonight to accept award

Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey will be in Tanner tonight, where she will attend the Alabama-Israel Leadership Gala at the Epicenter on Calvary Boulevard.
The event will honor leadership and celebrate friendship between Alabama and Israel during the 50th anniversary and jubilee of the reunification of Jerusalem. Ivey will be recognized as the 2017 recipient of the Israel Leadership Award.
The Alabama-Israel Task Force nominated Ivey for consideration for her work and leadership on behalf of the Alabama-Israel relationship.
Joining the governor will be Counsel General of Israel Lior Haiat, founder of the Israel Leadership Institute Eeki Elner, Brig. Gen. Gal Hirsch and others.
The program is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
