The Athens State University Community Band will host its annual Christmas concert Sunday, Dec. 3, in the Carter Gymnasium.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. The event is free to the public.

A reception hosted by the Athens State University Alumni Association will be held following the performance in Carter Gymnasium. The reception will include a visit from Santa. Parents are encouraged to bring their children and cameras to make their own photos.

The band is made up of volunteer musicians from a six-county area and is led by interim director David McCollum.
