• Lesson series. Westview Church of Christ at 15855 Lucas Ferry Road, Athens, will continue its series of lessons presented by Kenny Moorer from God’s word at the following times: 7 p.m. tonight and 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8.
• Smart Money. Emmanuel Baptist Church will live-stream Dave Ramsey’s Smart Money Event at 7 p.m. tonight. The event is free and will feature Dave Ramsey and his daughter, Rachel Cruze. Registration at ebcathens.com. More information: 256-232-6193.
• After-school program. The after-school program from 3-5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at David’s Temple Church in Tanner accepts children ages 5-18. Homework assistants, tutoring and study hall are available. Van pickup is available to all Athens city schools except Athens High. Children from Tanner High can ride the bus. • Christmas market. Epic Church will host the Epic Christmas Market from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Limestone County Event Center in Athens. Vendor items include jewelry, clothes, crafts, home goods, cosmetics, personalized items and more. Proceeds will be used for families in need during the holiday season. • Coat Giveaway. The Fourth Annual North Athens Church of Christ Coat Giveaway will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at 19159 Alabama 127, Athens. More information: Sylvester Malone, 256-874-1941.
• Anniversary. David Temple M.B. Church in Tanner will celebrate the 31st anniversary of its pastor, Dr. Jothan White, on Sunday, Nov. 12. Guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service is Dr. Donaldson Jones, pastor of Mount New Home M.B. Church in Leighton. Guest speaker for the 2 p.m. service is Dr. Earl Johnson, pastor of Christ Community Church in Huntsville.
• Interfaith panel. The Curtis Coleman Center for Religious Studies and Ethics will host its fall interfaith panel at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Founders Hall Chapel on the Athens State University campus. The panel is a public dialogue among three great Abrahamic faith traditions on cooperation, hospitality and benevolence. Panelists include Daniel Schenker, Robert Ferrell of Interfaith Mission Service and Aladin Beshier of Huntsville Islamic Center.
• Thanksgiving celebration. The Athens-Limestone Ministerial Alliance will host a community Thanksgiving celebration at 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in Athens Middle School auditorium. Event activities include a community choir performance, recognition of community leaders and more. Food and monetary donations will be accepted.
