An Athens man is facing a charge of third-degree theft for allegedly stealing a leaf blower and socket set on Oct. 13, records show.
Nathan Len Adams, 34, of 14600 Elk River Mills Road, was arrested Monday on the charge, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office.
He is accused of stealing a $500 Husqvarna backpack-style leaf blower and a $120 socket set from someone he knows in the 18000 block of Parker Road, according to the incident report filed Oct. 17 in Limestone County District Court by Deputy Gill Moore.
The victim told Moore that Adams arrived at his home about 8:30 p.m. and stole the items. A surveillance camera captured the vehicle used in the crime, according to Moore’s report.
Capt. Lance Royals, chief investigator for the Sheriff’s Office, obtained the arrest warrant in the case.
Adams remained in the Limestone County Jail Tuesday with bail set at $1,500.
