Bob Taunton shows off a handmade banjo Friday at the vendor’s tent he shares with his wife, Rose, at Tennessee Valley Old Time Fiddlers Convention. The two-day festival concludes this evening with a “fiddle-off” to determine the Alabama State Fiddle Champion. Contests will be held throughout the day in a variety of categories, including harmonica, banjo and buck dancing. Cost of admission is $15 per adult. Children under 12 will be admitted free with a paid adult.
