$7,000 reward offered in Tuscaloosa killing

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Federal and Tuscaloosa County authorities are offering rewards totaling $7,000 for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted on a capital murder charge.
Tuscaloosa police say 19-year-old Larenzo Maurice Polke is accused in the slaying of 37-year-old Bobby Lee Herrod Jr.
Herrod was shot to death outside a gas station in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 19. Polke was identified soon after as a suspect, but police haven’t been able to find him.
The motive in the slaying isn’t clear.
The U.S. Marshal’s Service is offering a reward of as much as $5,000 for information about Polke. Tuscaloosa County Crime Stoppers is offering another $2,000.
