CLANTON, Ala. (AP) — Alabama authorities say a driver was jailed on a murder charge after investigators determined that he intentionally drove his vehicle into another, killing the other driver.

Clanton and Chilton County authorities have not given details on the possible motive, except to say that the collision followed an argument.

Clanton police Capt. David Clackley told AL.com that the crash happened Friday afternoon. Twenty-two-year-old Brett Allen Singleton of Clanton was killed. The other driver was detained after treatment at a hospital. He was held at the Chilton County Jail on a charge of manslaughter. The Chilton County District Attorney’s Office later changed the charge to murder.

Records show 29-year-old Justin Osmand Bolton was being held without bond Monday. No information was available on whether he has an attorney who could comment.
