A quiet residential drive in East Limestone was buzzing Thursday morning with law enforcement officials and news media as investigators worked the scene of a double homicide.

A homeowner on Analicia Drive saw a small white car in the driveway of his home he did not recognize. Inside the small, white compact car were the bodies of two white males, possibly in their early 20s.

Limestone County Coroner Mike West said both men had been shot “multiple times.” It is unknown when the crime occurred or what connection the victims had to the area. It is also unknown if authorities have developed a suspect in the case.

Investigators with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, Limestone County District Attorney’s Office and the state Bureau of Investigation were processing the scene and had no additional information late Thursday morning. Several yellow evidence tags were visible inside and outside the vehicle.

Analicia Drive is located off Old Railroad Bed Road.
