As part of the initiative, Wells Fargo will donate $1,000 to Children’s for each pass interception made by the Tide and Tigers.
“We have had a great relationship with Children’s for many years and we are honored to continue supporting the work they do in our communities,” said Wells Fargo Central Alabama Region Bank President Leigh Collier. “This is a really fun way for us to get involved and galvanize the community to come out in support of an organization that does such great work in Alabama. Together, we have a wonderful to opportunity to make the futures of our children brighter.”
Children’s and Wells Fargo invite Alabamians of all ages to participate in the program by making their own pledges at www.picksforkids.org. In six years, the program has raised $190,000.
State-of-the-art equipment made available in part by Wells Fargo has given therapists and audiologists the ability to diagnose and treat patients with speech, language, feeding, hearing and balance issues. Funds directly benefit the more than 1,800 children treated each month in Children’s Hearing and Speech Center.
“We are thrilled to be able to partner with Wells Fargo again this football season,” said Chris Theriot of Children’s of Alabama. “Wells Fargo has been a great advocate for the children and families we treat, from bringing its stagecoach here to give rides to patients and their families to generous financial support for our speech and hearing program.”
