The store was doing steady business as those who dream of a life of luxury laid down some cash in hopes of winning the $700 million jackpot. It’s the second-largest jackpot in U.S. history. The odds of having the lucky numbers, to be drawn tonight, are about 1 in 292.2 million.

A winner who elects to take the cash option would receive about $443.3 million, which would be enough to cover the cost of America’s most expensive listing — the Bel-Air, California, estate featured in the credits of “The Beverly Hillbillies.” The 25,000-square-foot mansion is on the market for a paltry $350 million.
