Drivers who use Witty Mill Road are advised to use extreme caution in the coming weeks as work continues to improve the road.

Ben Harrison, Limestone County’s District 4 commissioner, said workers are grinding up portions of the road and pulling up areas of bad repairs, which will be strip-patched ahead of plans to resurface the road at the end of this month or early September.

Next week, the week of Aug. 14-18, Witty Mill Road will be closed to traffic between the addresses of 16760 and 17495. Harrison asks motorists to plan accordingly.
