The Limestone County Commission is celebrating a new school year in an illuminating way.

Through Aug. 16, the Limestone County Courthouse will be lighted each night in the color of each area high school. The effort kicks off tonight and honors Ardmore High School.

The rest of the schedule is as follows:

• Aug. 9: Clements;

• Aug. 10: Tanner;

• Aug. 11: West Limestone;

• Aug. 12: East Limestone;

• Aug. 13: Athens;

• Aug. 14: Elkmont;

• Aug. 15: Athens Bible School; and

• Aug. 16: Lindsay Lane Christian Academy.
