A person riding a bicycle was killed Sunday morning after being struck by a vehicle, an official said.

Limestone County Coroner Mike West confirmed a Hispanic male died after the collision with a small pickup truck on Alabama 127, just north of Athens.

West did not know the victim’s name or age as of 10:45 a.m. He said state troopers were continuing to work the scene and would conduct the investigation.
