• Revival. David’s Temple Missionary Baptist Church at 11273 Stewart Road, Tanner, will hold revival July 9-12. The Rev. Leo Mayberry and New Beginnings will be the guests at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 9. The Rev. Rufus Slack of Killen and David’s Temple Choir will be the guests 7 p.m. Monday, July 10. Tuesday’s guests will be the Rev. C. Jermaine Turner and Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Harvest, starting at 7 p.m.. The Rev. Trevor Crenshaw and Trinity Missionary Baptist Church of Florence will be the guests 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12. Everyone is invited.
• Revival. Owens Crossroads Baptist Church is holding a summer revival July 9-11 at 21619 Alabama 99, Athens. Brother Jeff Drake will be the special guest speaker at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, July 9, as well as 7 p.m. July 10 and 11. More information: Mary H. Townsend, 256-233-0562.
• Concert. The Booth Brothers will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at Lindsay Lane Baptist Church. The award-winning trio has appeared on the Bill Gaither Homecoming tours. More information: 256-232-0020.
• Annual meeting. Alabama Fork Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America Inc. (CPCA) will hold its annual meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at St. James CPCA in Decatur.
• Leadership course. The Curtis Coleman Center for Religious Studies at Athens State University will host a free four-part course, “Secrets of the Exceptional Leader,” at 6 p.m. July 13 and Aug. 10. Courses will be in the chapel of Founders Hall, located on the second floor. It will cover the following topics: Discovering Your Strengths, Growing Your Confidence, Stabilizing Your Emotions and Anxieties and Secrets of Managing Conflict. More information: 256-233-6508.
• Gospel singing. Berea Baptist Church, 16779 Lucas Ferry Road in Athens, will host a gospel singing at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, July 15. • Revival singing. Full Gospel Tabernacle, 17470 Seven Mile Post Road in Athens, will host two services a day featuring Australian Christian artist and evangelist Paul Furlong Friday, Aug. 11, through Monday, August 14. VACATION BIBLE SCHOOLS
• Elkmont United Methodist Church, 25444 Childrens St. in Elkmont, will host vacation Bible school for students in preschool through eighth grade from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 10, through Tuesday, July 13.
