Monday, July 3, will be a state holiday, so all state and county offices will be closed. The county’s court system will also be closed.

Tuesday, July 4, is a state and federal holiday. All state, county and federal offices, including banks and post offices, will be closed for the Independence Day holiday.

Because post offices are closed Tuesday, The News Courier will not publish a Tuesday newspaper. Our next edition will be the Wednesday, July 5, edition. The News Courier’s office will be closed Tuesday but will reopen at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Garbage pickups

Limestone County

There will be no change in the garbage pickup for county residents Tuesday. Routes will be run on your regularly scheduled pickup day. Routes will be run early, however, so please put out your garbage the night before.

Athens

There is no change in the sanitation schedule for city of Athens customers for July 4. Please have bins to the curb by 6 a.m.
