Missing Alabama man’s body found in Sipsey River

TUSCALOOSA (AP) — Searchers in Alabama have recovered the body of a previously missing man from the Sipsey River.
The Tuscaloosa News reports (http://bit.ly/2qDW9ec ) that authorities found the body of 36-year-old Josh Cooley of Gordo on Wednesday. Cooley was last seen Saturday and his vehicle was later found abandoned by a boat launch on Upper Columbus Road with personal items still inside.
The Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit is investigating his death. No details had been released as of Wednesday night.
Cooley’s brother has established a GoFundMe account to help the family with funeral expenses.
