Antonio Montez Moore

Decatur police arrested an Athens man Monday for failure to register as a convicted sex offender, according to a press release.

Antonio Montez Moore, 24, of 2414 U.S. 31, Athens, was convicted of attempted first-degree rape in 2012. Though he has an Athens address, it was discovered he was working in Decatur and failed to disclose that information to police.

Moore came to the Decatur Police Department Monday to discuss an unrelated issue with a detective and was subsequently arrested on the failure to notify warrant. After being taken to the Morgan County Jail, bond was set at $2,500.
