City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Monday:
• Ratchet strap and two tarps, total $660, stolen from gravel lot next to Hardee’s restaurant between April 28 and 30
• Hood of Chevrolet Trailblazer sustained $600 damage due to criminal mischief in 300 block Shaw Street between March 20 and April 15
• City of Athens utility tag at Walmart Supercenter, 1011 U.S. 72 East, tampered with April 29
• Pork chops, Miracle Whip and chuck roll, total $32, stolen April 29 from Walmart Supercenter
