County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations, or part of a grand jury indictment:
• Thomas Dewayne Davis, 39, of 22326 Holt Road, Athens, failure to register as a sex offender
• Bois Darrell Garth, 49, of 1423 Oscar Patterson Road, New Market, negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument
• Jonathan Richard Gibson, 33, of 27377 Pressnell Road, Athens, DUI (alcohol), open container of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering the welfare of a child
• Phillip Wayne Holladay, 18, of 3390 Charity Lane, Toney, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)
• Jimmy Osborn Meeks, 45, of 122 Henderson St., Scottsboro, illegal possession of prescription drugs
• Cheryl Jean Ray, 50, of 26480 Bain Road, Athens, second-degree domestic violence (assault)
• Cathy Lynn Ridgeway, 46, of 20298 Lasso Circle, Toney, third-degree burglary
• Brandon Lee Young, 30, of 20298 Lasso Circle, Toney, third-degree burglary
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:
• ATHENS — Black guitar and Bowie knife, total value $370, stolen April 26, 17000 block Oakdale Road
• ATHENS — 2006 Cadillac DTS valued at $3,010 stolen April 13, 26000 block U.S. 72
• ATHENS — 9 mm Jennings pistol and Winchester rifle with scope, total value $525, stolen between April 25 and 26, 17000 block Dusty Road
• ELKMONT — iPhone 6, no value given, stolen between April 25 and 26, 24000 block Cabbage Ridge Road
• ELKMONT — Whirlpool dryer valued at $100 stolen between April 1 and 5, 16000 block Fort Hampton Road
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrest Thursday:
• Scottie Allen Barnes, 42, of 913 Fifth Ave., Athens, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia (arrest for Limestone County Sheriff’s Office)
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:
• Posthole digger, value $30, stolen between April 22 and 26 in 300 block East Pryor Street
• Gerber multitool, measuring tape, wire strippers and Milwaukee impact driver drill, total value $170, stolen between April 20 and 22 in 22000 block Traditions Way
• Amazon Fire TV stick, value $45, stolen April 27 in 21000 block Compton Road
