4 finalists for Florence City Schools superintendent’s post

FLORENCE (AP) — Florence City School Board members will be interviewing superintendent candidates in mid-April.
Interim Superintendent Connie Wallace says the board has four finalists in the running to become the next superintendent.
WAAY-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2nFKSHX ) the finalists are Catherine Beck, Boyd English, Alan Miller, and Jimmy Shaw.
Beck is currently the assistant superintendent at Summit School District in Colorado. She taught in Lauderdale County schools from 1989-2005.
English now serves as the superintendent of Crenshaw County Schools.
Miller is the superintendent of Haleyville City Schools.
Shaw is currently the assistant superintendent of instruction for the Florence City School System.
Wallace says the board will begin interviewing candidates April 13.
