“Rockin’ Eco Hero” Steve Trash performs his magic show for Limestone County students Friday afternoon on the campus of Athens State University as part of the Limestone County Water & Sewer Authority’s annual Groundwater Festival. The festival is designed to educate students about groundwater as a natural resource — what it is, how it works, and its environmental benefits. Students are involved in hands-on activities to learn about the water cycle, the water filtration process, and the function of wells in supplying water.
