Resident makes requests
Dear Editor:
I live in the Plantation East subdivision on Mooresville Road and we need a sidewalk to U.S. 72.
The traffic is so bad you can’t walk down Mooresville Road.
Also, from U.S. 72 to the old store, we need street lights. It’s so dark down the road and yes, it’s in the city. The city also needs to enforce the law about trash in the ditches.
We also need lights at the major intersection of U.S. 72 and Mooresville Road. It’s so dark at night.
Sincerely,
T.J. Brooks

Student seeks info
Dear Editor:
I am writing to you as part of a class project for the novel, “The Watsons Go to Birmingham.” My classmates and I are contacting newspapers around the country in a state we chose to learn more about. I wanted to learn more about Alabama because I like southern states and would like to visit one day. Also, I like the culture in Alabama.
I am writing to ask your readers to please write back and tell me why they like Alabama, interesting facts about the state and what visitors can do there. They can write to my school’s address above. If they could also include a copy of the newspaper where they saw the letter, I’d greatly appreciate it.
If you have any questions, please contact my teacher’s email at aweisser@queenofpeace.cc or you may contact her by phone at 574-255-0392, ext. 132.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Gish
