County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Friday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• William Luke Bond, 35, 13714 Sammy Lane, Elkmont, negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Tamika Juanessia Garth, 41, of 24753 Garrett Road, Belle Mina, third-degree assault

• Zachary Wayne Phillips, 22, of 15790 Dupree Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance and two counts possession of drug paraphernalia (first offense)

• George Morris Pylant, 47, of 21216 Tillman Mill Road, Athens, manufacturing a controlled substance and three counts possession of a controlled substance

• Marcus Jabriel Smith, 26, of 20608 Tillman Mill Road, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana and two counts third-degree receiving stolen property

• Timothy Phillip Thornton, 45, of 17389 Clearview St., Athens, driving under the influence (alcohol)

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Friday:

• ATHENS — Chihuahua valued at $100 stolen during burglary March 10 in 17000 block New Cut Road

• ELKMONT — TapeTech drywall mud pump, two mud boxes, Bazooka tape machine, two angle-head finishers and two mud-box handles, total $4,700, stolen during vehicle break-in March 16 in 24000 block Winter Lane

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported no new arrests Friday.

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Friday:

• $100 in currency stolen March 13 from Wal-Mart at 1011 U.S. 72 East

• AT&T Velocity cellphone value at $60 stolen March 16 from Walmart

• Pontiac Grand Prix four-door sedan valued at $4,000 stolen March 16 from 1100 block U.S. 72 East
