County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• Candace Lynn Arteaga, 36, of 12937 Elk River Mills Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (assault)

• Isidro Cerrano Garcia, 29, of 703 N. Marion St., Athens, distribution of a controlled substance

• Ashley Nicole Holt, 32, of 15586 Shaw Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Sarena Lazett Lovvorn, 35, of 12553 Ripley Road, Athens, disorderly conduct

• Jose Manuel Muzaurita, 39, of 1012 Roberts Ave., Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, fraudulent use of a credit/debit card

•Jordan Lamar Peoples, 21, of 228 8th St. SW, Decatur, grand jury indictment for first-degree theft

• Anthony Bryan Thornton, 43, of 19399 Compton Road, Elkmont, first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance, attempt to elude law enforcement by any means and possession of drug paraphernalia

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:

• ATHENS — Glock 36 .45-caliber pistol, value $550, stolen between Feb. 20 and March 7 in 24000 block U.S. 72

• ATHENS — Medications, value $600, stolen Feb. 20 (reported March 8) in 16000 block Alabama 251

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Austin Martez Anderson, 19, of 104 Judy Drive, Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana and third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Karon Moody Cogswell, 61, of 142 County Road 550, Anderson, DUI (combined substances)

• Laura Lynn Hamilton, 34, of 22707 Piney Chapel Road, Apt. 2, Athens, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of prescription drugs

•Amanda Beth Montgomery, 36, of 20698 Old Elkmont Road, Athens, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession of prescription drugs

• Danielle Faith Sledge, 18, of 104 Judy Drive, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment) and third-degree domestic violence (criminal mischief)

• June Marie Swartz, 41, of 1235 Audubon Lane, Athens, DUI (alcohol)

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• Green Chevrolet GMT-400 Z71 4-by-4 pickup with extended cab, Phoenix Arms .22-caliber pistol and Vltor AR-15 upper receiver 223/556, total value $4,000, stolen March 8 in 100 block Durham Drive

• Criminal mischief to two window screens and frames, value $200, between May 1, 2016 and March 9 in 500 block Fourth Street

• Accidental property damage to mailbox, value $50, on March 9 in 1400 block Bridgewater Place

• 10-karat yellow gold rope chain and 24-karat yellow gold cluster nugget ring, total value $675, stolen between March 5 and 9 in 700 block Fifth Avenue
