Those interested in learning more about birds of prey should make plans to attend a special raptor program Saturday at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge.

The program will feature Dale and John Stokes, a husband and wife team from Trenton, Georgia, who give similar presentations throughout the Southeast. From May through September, the couple conducts the Rock City Raptors Birds of Prey show at Rock City near Chattanooga.

Birds to be featured Saturday in the Stokes’ presentation include owls, hawks, a black vulture and an American bald eagle. The public will be able to get a close look at these raptors and learn more about them.

Each program lasts an hour and there will be a question and answer session to follow.
