County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• Dustin Lee Berzett, 29, of 21720 Piney Chapel Road, Elkmont, third-degree theft

• Jacob Scott Hood, 25, of 13774 Robinson Lane, Elkmont, possession of a pistol by a violent felonand possession of an altered firearm

• Kevin Gene Ivey, 31, of 21191 Yarbrough Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence

• William Eric Scruggs, 38, of 11373 Stewart Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance

• Anthony Larry Sheppard, 38, of 450 Dawson St., Hartselle, third-degree domestic violence

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:

• ATHENS — 70 Case knives, flat-screen television, DVD player, laptop computer, Masonic jewelry, German mug with change, numerous Vera Bradley purses, jewelry, total value $7,700, stolen between Feb. 9 and 14 in 25000 block Van Dyke Road

• ATHENS — Yeti Roadie 20 cooler, value $300, stolen Feb. 15 in 19000 block Looney Road

• HARDY ROAD — Six Case knives, total value $450, stolen Feb. 15 in 15000 block Hardy Road

City arrests

Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Richard John Boucher, 25, of 813 Cedar Lake Road SW, Decatur, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Timothy Herbert Hale, 58, of 604 First Ave., Athens, third-degree domestic violence

• Derek Lyn Jackson, 44, of 10867 County Road 217, Hillsboro, second-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia

City thefts

Athens Police Department reported the following theft Thursday:

• Cash and Visa Redstone Federal Credit Union card, value unknown, reported stolen during vehicle break-in Feb. 14 in 400 block Cloverleaf Drive
