County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Friday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• Corey Matthew Appleton, 21, of 2055 Todd Circle, Athens, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia

• Scottie Allen Barnes, 42, of 19799 Alabama 127, Athens, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Thomas Walter Fischer, 51, of 12879 Copperfield Lane, Madison, third-degree domestic violence (menacing) and domestic violence (strangulation)

• Daxton Floyd Posey, 22, of 24071 Drawbaugh Road, Athens, two counts of third-degree burglary

• Robert Brandon Sanderfer, 24, of 15415 Little Elk Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Taylor Jon Nichols, 23, of 695 Capshaw Road, Madison, grand jury indictment on a charge of first-degree theft, second-degree aggravated assault

• Amanda Marie Reyer, 24, of 300 Bullington Road, Athens, grand jury indictments on two charges of attempted murder, aggravated child abuse, and two charges of first-degree domestic violence (aggravated assault)

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Friday:

• ATHENS — Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver, seven pairs of Air Jordan shoes and a pair of ear buds, total value $2,775, reported stolen between Jan. 25 and 26 in 11000 block Neely Road

• MADISON — $200 in cash reported stolen Jan. 23 in 25000 block Henry Clay Drive

• ATHENS — Gasoline, value $3.50, reported stolen Jan. 26 in 14000 block New Cut Road

• MADISON — Springfield XDS 9 mm pistol reported stolen during vehicle break-in between Jan. 24 and 25 in 27000 block Kim Drive

• ATHENS — Unauthorized use of a 2015 Chevrolet Sonic, unknown value, on Jan. 26 in 13000 block Ripley Road

• Taima Marie Nagle, 27, of 1850 Blue Road, Tuscumbia, possession of a controlled substance

• Cortez Deontae Watkins, 19, of 2120 Aretha St., Athens, fourth-degree theft

• Chad Jeremy Oberle, 36, of 980 Alabama 35, Fort Payne, fourth-degree theft

• Steven Dwight Woods, 42, of 311 Longview St., Athens, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia

• Shannon Austin Traylor, 24, of 605 Third St., Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Megan Elizabeth Parker, 26, of 380 County Road 505, Moulton, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following theft Friday:

• Vehicle tag, value $1, reported stolen between Jan. 25 and 26 in 900 block West Washington Street
