A candlelight vigil will be held this evening for a Limestone County native who died Sunday in northwest Georgia.

The memorial honoring Candace Hankins is set for 5 p.m. at Piney Chapel Elementary School, at 20835 Elkton Road, Athens. Hankins, 29, was a 2005 graduate of Elkmont High School but had lived in Georgia for several years.

Her live-in boyfriend, 29-year-old David Ryan Walker, has been charged with murder in connection to Hankins’ death.
